♥︎ There was a lot going on in this book. To start, both Aurora and Russ bear the weight of absent fathers, leaving profound voids in their hearts. Aurora seeks validation, craving reassurance that she is worthy of love. On the other hand, Russ harbors deep-seated resentment, shielding himself from his family by avoiding them.
♡︎ Russ is very attracted to Aurora, but he’s painfully shy, which often leads to miscommunication. Fortunately, Aurora’s outgoing nature coaxes him out of his comfort zone. As they start to get closer, the lines of friendship become increasingly blurred, leaving both Aurora and Russ questioning their true feelings. Amidst all this, they also have to deal with family drama that definitely managed to ruin the mood for me one too many times.
♥︎ That being said, I did enjoy Russ and Aurora’s chemistry. There was also a very entertaining group of friends, and the writing was very well done.
✧Overall, if you are a fan of forced proximity and opposites attract, you will definitely enjoy this book.
