I love this series. I haven’t read them in order (oops!) but it doesn’t seem to matter much. The angst and heartache that this author produces is no joke! It’s compelling. You can’t help but keep reading to see how in the world this will turn into a HEA.

Ms. Maura also knows how to write a loyal, caring, and strong man. I love how all of her heroes are all in on their ladies and they always TRY to do the honorable thing.

I did have qualms with Ares in the first part of this book. He was just DUMB. I did have a hard time believing he could “love” and date one woman and not realize he loved the other (except in his subconscious.) That didn’t make sense to me. I mean, if he was SO drunk he couldn’t question between two women, I highly doubt he would have been able to be a good performer in the bedroom while being that drunk. I mean, I did enjoy the story, but that part of the storyline had me thinking (or praying) that most men couldn’t possibly be that stupid.
