This was chosen by my Grandson’s school for its 4th grade summer reading program. He started reading the book closer toward the end of July. His school started on the 8th of August and he was tested the following week.

I thought the book was rather lengthy for that age. He got it read in time and did well on the test. He really enjoyed it, finding it interesting and funny. In fact, he liked it so well that he is now reading the second volume in the series. He plans to read the entire series. I know it is a child’s book but his enthusiasm makes me want to read it.
