I love every single one of Catharina Maura’s books and every time I finish one, I change my favorite book to the one I just read. She truly keeps outdoing herself.

I love this series so much and while part of this was hard to read (check trigger warnings) I think it was beautifully written. CM always makes sure to have a happy ending but the road getting there has its ups and downs. Her work is brilliant and I think she’s truly outdone herself with this one. I’ve now read it twice (once the day it came out and then again before the next book, the secret fiancé, came out.) and I will likely keep rereading the entire series at least once a year.

Zane and Celeste really go through it to get to their happy ending and I love the underlying meaning in the lesson taught in this book. Trust issues, communication issues, family issues, mental health issues, all normal things that couples go through.

Every time I read one of the Windsor books I feel as though I am in their world. She writes each character so brilliantly and each book has moments about the couple that was foreshadowed in other books without originally noticing. I am so sad that the series is coming to an end but so excited to see how it wraps up.
