I’ve read most of the titles this author wrote, and when I found out that she was going to venture out into a darker genre, I was here for it.

Nero was such a fun read and I loved diving into a new SJ Tilly Universe with characters that I knew I would fall in love with. She has a natural talent where she could get me all up in my sad feels and then make me burst out laughing a couple of lines later. She also joined me along for the journey and got quite a few laughs out of my dramatic reactions to her book so that was a special experience.

Nero is a tough mafia boss and I think he was the most surprised when he met his match in a feisty woman that has the capabilities to bring him to his knees. I loved how his tough guy demeanor would shed when he was around his ‘sweet girl’. If you love the ‘touch her and die vibes’ you will really enjoy this story.
