When Kris first propositions Nate to seduce her awful stepmom in an attempt to get her out of her life, she has no idea that she is in for a whirlwind of a ride along the way. His only condition after the money she offers him…for him to get a kiss from Kris at the time of his choosing.

Soon after they start fake dating, both realize they might be in over their heads with extra emotions. But I love the way that Nate starts to chip away at Kris’ icy exterior and gets to know who she really is. Also, fake dating is one of my favorite tropes and I ate this book up! It also doesn’t hurt that Nate definitely knows his way around dirty talk and the chemistry between him and Kris was HOT. But also the intimacy and sweet moments between them also made my heart squeeze!

Kris is a strong FMC and I love that for her! I also love getting to know a different side of her, a side that isn’t shown to most people. Whereas everyone simply sees her money and rich lifestyle, she starts opening up to Nate and he can see how caring and sweet she is for the people she truly cares about. Neither her nor Nate has had the easiest life growing up and they both face different struggles in their lives, but how they share these with one another and grow along the way is truly beautiful.

Would definitely re-read this book and I also listened to the narration while I read! I loved the dual POV and having separate narrators for each of their chapters!
