Penelope Douglas has written an amazing dark romance with strong characters and a captivating story line. I had absolutely no idea where this book was going to go, even up until the 50% mark, I was still trying to piece together every little thing I thought I knew about the story. This was the perfect balance of dark and raw and sexy and (at times) romantic. I am nursing one hellova book hangover right now, and I want to do it all again!!

I really can’t tell you anymore about this book. Honestly, the best way to read it is to go in as blind as you can. It’s a journey that needs to be experienced by you. I promise it really is the best way. This author does a wonderful job at keeping you guessing, and she holds nothing back. Although I did (at times) feel like I wanted to know more about the backstory of some of the secondary characters. So I am hopeful that we will get to know them a little more in the future! *cough* Kai *cough*

This book is jam packed full of shock reveals, twists and turns and some of the hottest scenes I have ever read. It’s highly addictive and is one of the best books I have read this year. It was an absolute joy to read. I honestly had so much fun!! Yes it’s dark, it’s gritty and yes, at times, it scared me half to death but I loved hard and fell harder. And by the end of it, I couldn’t wipe the ridiculous smile off my face. I am now left with this giant hole in my life. I was completely consumed for two days straight and I’m totally jealous of anyone who gets to read this book for the very first time.
