Daydream by Hannah Grace
As soon as I read Icebreaker, I immediately knew I wanted a Henry book! I was disappointed the second one wasnโt his but quickly retracted it because I stand Russ And Rory hard! (Sorry Nate and Stass!) Although, Henry and Halle didnโt disappoint!
The common thing about the FMCs in this whole series is that theyโre all so very, easily relatable. From how they view themselves, how they tackle things, how they see certain situations, their uncertainty, their needs, and even the way they do things.
Halle was the most relatable for me since, cโmon. We all have this tiny people-pleaser bone in all of us. Sheโs sweet, kind, generous with her time, and mostly, she just wants someone to be as considerate as her when it comes to things. I love me a book nerd, and aspiring author FMC as well! Like, thatโs most of us in the book community, right?
Not going to lie, Henry started a bit stoic for me, but you need to read through to understand why he is the way he is. Heโs special. He processes things differently and in a lot of ways I can also see a lot of people relating to him. He needs to decompress for a while after being social, he overthinks, and he feels pressure so much that it eats him slowly until he finally shuts down, he needs to be away sometimes to process things. But my most favorite part about his character? Heโs unapologetic and says things as he sees them. Heโs not someone to sugarcoat things and take it easy on you. And thatโs refreshing.
Hen and Hals both meshed so well because they understood and brought out the best in each other.
