So, I finished this book yesterday and I’m still trying to figure out how I want to write my review. I tend to write my reviews based upon my feelings and experiences when reading a book and not a synopsis because obviously there is a synopsis available before you buy the book.

That being said, I would definitely read the trigger warnings because there are a lot of things that happen in this book that are triggering! It’s definitely dark however, just was beautifully written. I went through a plethora of emotions and found myself laughing, crying, sick to my stomach with some events, feeling empathy for Adeline with her PTSD, not understanding how I could fall in Love with Zade considering everything he did, and just loving such a dark and actually truly gripping story. I’m still thinking about it 24 hours after finishing the book. I feel that some of the reason that I was so drawn into the book is because I listened to it on Audible and the narrators were Beyond Phenomenal! Both narrators brought so much emotion and depth to the characters that I felt like I was living the story instead of just listening to it. Excellent job to the author and narrators, definitely a genre that I don’t generally read but I am so thankful that I did! If you can get past the trigger warnings then I would highly recommend listening to this book!
